The third issue of our customer magazine MC aktiv focuses on screeds and MC's solutions to different requirements.
Screed systems: Top products for better screeds
Screed is becoming increasingly important in construction. It fulfils important functions in terms of load-bearing capacity and both footfall-sound and thermal insulation. From accelerators and rapid cements to floor levelling compounds and coating, finishing and repair systems – MC-Bauchemie offers various screed systems that serve both to improve the properties of this base layer and make it easier to install.
BIG PICTURE: St. Mark’s Church in Zagreb
St. Mark’s Church in Zagreb underwent significant restoration after enduring damage from earthquakes in 2020. Using advanced techniques, MC applied a special FRCM system to repair walls, vaults, and the roof. The system, featuring various solutions by MC-Bauchemie, effectively stabilized the structure, making it more resilient against earthquakes. Thanks to these modern restoration methods, the Church stands stronger and more earthquake-resistant while preserving its historical charm. Today, it shines once again, proudly representing Zagreb's rich history.
